NEW YEARS EVE 2010!
Hi ACLU Friends,
This year, we are collaborating with Busboys and Poets' in their New Years Resolution to raise awareness and funds for causes that are important to our surrounding community such as ours. Their New Years Eve celebration will serve as a platform to help the ACLU and some fourteen other organizations.
The Busboys and Poets' celebration, entitled "One Nation Under A Groove," will feature the ACLU of the Nation's Capital along with several other local nonprofit organizations and will donate $10 of every admission to their celebration to us if you so designate when purchasing your ticket to the event.
Busboys and Poets' will promote and display our logo and resolution in their advertising leading up to the celebration and throughout the month of January 2010.
Busboys and Poets' promises that their New Year's Eve celebration will not only be activist-focused but also a "RIDICULOUSLY GOOD TIME!"
For $65, guests will get two parties for the price of one! The celebration will take place at both their 5th & K and 14th & V locations with a "party limo" taking guests in between the two parties. From 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. on New Year's Eve, both DC Busboys & Poets locations (14th & V and 5th & K) will offer an open bar, professional DJs, lavish hors d’oeuvres, dancing all night and a midnight champagne toast to usher in 2010.
One ticket allows for chauffeured travel, via our “party bus” circulating between the two locations every 30 minutes throughout the evening. We invite you to come and party with a purpose, among friends and like-minded progressives!
WHEN: Thursday December 31 from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.
